I’ve belonged to my CrossFit gym for about 6 weeks now. I signed up for a membership that allowed me to go to class twice a week. At the time, I was worried that this was’t going to be enough. You see, I’m sort of a jump-into-the-deep-end kid of girl. I don’t like to dip my toes ad try things out. Nope, I like to jump right in. So, if I could have swung it, I would have signed up for unlimited classes a week (but that’s uber pricey). So, I decided that twice a week would be enough for me to start with. Besides, after the marathon, I was barely even working out once a week.
And let me tell you…ends up that doing CrossFit twice a week will KICK YOUR ASS! In just 6 short weeks, I already feel like a freaking warrior. AND I’m finally feeling ready to add one more day back into my workout schedule….
So when I found this awesome coupon from YogaWorks, I cashed it in! And lucky for me, Krista Cahill, yoga teacher extraordinaire, teaches at a YogaWorks location by my house!
This lady is the inversion queen. Handstands are my yoga obsession (ehhh… I can’t really do one but I like to pretend) so I was dying to make it to one of her classes. If you’ve never heard of her and are curious, definitely check out this YouTube video:

Anyway…..back to the story. I made it to Krista’s class and it was a serious butt kicker. I was totally exhausted and sweating up a storm. And that was just halfway though the class! But we got a chance to work on handstands and take a nice long shavasana. It was love.
The point of this post? I still love yoga and want to make a place for it in my new workout schedule. And make no mistake about it! Yoga is NOT for pansies!
